Hi guys,
I was wondering what type of armour panels should be fitted on to an M113 with the Blast Nagman II turret ( the smaller one with the sloped sides). I have an etched set to replace the Academy Zelda kit parts with perforated panels but I have also seen pics where the armour is plain and also pics where the plain sections are peeling off revealing perforated panels underneath.
Any suggestions?

It's my understanding that the solid-appearring plates were originally meant to camouflage the actual design. As photo evidence of flaking plates came out, the issue was moot. As it was, the plates were covered in a paste. I have a publicly available brochure with extreme closeups of the design, and it is not simply a perforated plate. Also, there is no etched plate that will duplicate the number of holes. It would likely be too flimsy. Back in Operation Peace for Galilee, the secret was relevant. Not so much now, since you can walk right up to them in exhibitions.

many thanks for your answer. It certainly helps with me choosing how to procede with the kit.
As for the holes in the available etch sets I had heard that none of them came close but I guess I'll have to go with the one I have.
